We are a team of technicians, shift supervisors and production workers.
The technicians equip the molding presses and start the production, our goal is to make sure the machines work according to the highest Quality Standard and with maximum efficiency.
The shift supervisors, together with our workers, take care of the machines during production and resolve the normal alarms of production to make the machines independent. We also support our technicians; we check the quality of the products and handle packaging and movement of the product.
We have a Press Inventory of 30 units, with a tonnage ranging from 35 to 350 Tons. They are assisted by cartesian robots or pickers, which can transform almost any thermoplastic material.
Our components can be 1 to 30 cm wide and our hourly production ranges from 100 to 12000+ pieces per hour.
In 2021 we produced more than 660 million pieces, either sold to our customers or used by HMC to make Medical Devices.
In our daily activities we are supported by a software, Nicim, that communicates with our machines and monitors their working times. Through Nicim, we manage our production orders, and we monitor every stage of the manufacturing and its qualitative evolution.
Our precision and consistency for the data monitoring allows our company to monitor our labor costs.
They say, this year, we are performing efficiently and our department is growing!
Automatic machines department

- Rita Izzo
- Pamela Goldoni
- Gian Luigi Zanotti
The team is composed by 3 people that manages 8 Automatic Assembly Lines.
We actually work very closely with the Injection Molding Team, and we support each other in managing the Production Lines to the necessity of the Production and the Human Resource Availability.
Our machines assemble 1000 to 3500 pieces par hour and our main job is to constantly monitor the correct assembly of products, and to execute little operation when alarms ring, as well as the packaging process.
We have two quite complex assembly lines, where we make HMC Products: the Nasogastric Probes and the Infusion Taps and Fittings.
Manual Assembly Department

Maddalena Di Domenico: Supervisor
Workers: Altea Corradi, Maura Bignardi, Roberta Barelli, Nejmi Hicham, Serena Marchetti
Our assembly team department is made up of 6 employees.
Our job is to assemble components / Semi-Finished products made by the other HMC production departments to make medical devices to send worldwide.
All the operations from assembly until primary packaging of the finished product are made in the Clean Room (ISO 8), which means all the steps are done in controlled environments with constant temperature and humidity levels.
The assembly is made through solvents that, with physical (softening) and chemical (Van Der Walls bonds) reactions combine semi-finished products to create the final one.
The most used solvent is cyclohexanone, but there are other solvents, the usage depends on the type of plastic we must glue together and the product we have to make such as Tetrahydrofuran – Butanone.
Down below are some uses for our products:
- Feeding tubes
- Oncology
- Chest tubes
- Urinary tubes
- Endoscopy
- Contrast agents
