Combining CO2 & pH indicator checks into one single, simple-to-use device allows clinicians to place any size nasogastric tube, from any manufacturer, safely & quickly.
Misplacement and exposure to unnecessary radiation are dangerous, but unfortunately common problems associated with the insertion and confirmation of nasogastric feeding and decompression tubes.
The technologies that exist today are either; too costly, too big to be compatible with all tube sizes, have accuracy problems (discerning lung placement), or only provide limited information after the tube has been fully inserted.
Aspirate moves through DoubleCHEK’s patented valve and pump system, directing small volume samples to the CO2 and pH indicator zones, while the remaining aspirate is delivered to the sealed collection tube.
